Tanz Tanz Revolution - Deception of a Fall

Tanz Tanz Revolution’s debut evening-length work, Deception of a Fall, asks performers to surrender to the unknown and embrace inevitable change. Throughout the journey, each individual is forced to come to terms with their own non-linear trajectory, being propelled through stages of dejection, resistance and yielding. Embodying these experiences, the choreography pulls from different movement qualities and dynamics. Each section draws from the performers’ individuality to celebrate newfound connection. Can this community transform their aversion to the descent into joy and possibility? Tanz Tanz Revolution (TTR) is a collective made up of artists Anna Kazwell, Eva Silverton, and Emily O’Rourke. All from different upbringings, they met in Los Angeles to form a group that celebrates individual perspectives in shared experiences. TTR utilizes their varying movement backgrounds as a basis to research human connection amidst our differences. TTR premiered their first work as a part of the Volta x Hoover Haus residency. They have also performed work for the San Diego Emerging Choreographers Showcase and recently worked with artist Cassie Marin on a music video. IG: @tanztanzrevolution
