fabe – Unknow
June 22 @ 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm$20.00 - $25.00
This new dance work challenges how to see and treat each other. Our race, sexual orientation, and gender identity have all become defining factors for how people perceive each other. Mallory Fabian’s vision for unknow is for the viewer to see a body as a body with no labels attached.
While exploiting stereotypes we’ve learned and witnessed growing up, unknow will test the viewers ability to get to know or unknow the people in front of them. It will force us to open our eyes, create a larger conversation, and evaluate the progress we have made within society.
