Angel Divina is a trans Latinx artist based in Bakersfield, CA. Her practice, ranging from large format painting to culinary arts, is deeply rooted in her Mexican heritage and culture. Divina earned her Bachelors in Fine Art from California Institute of the Arts where she concentrated on studies that challenged aspects of 2D and 3D works. She has been a guest lecturer at the Bakersfield Museum of Art, a muralist for the Arts Council of Kern and has had numerous exhibits throughout the Los Angeles area. Divina is currently exploring radical joy through cooking and, of course, eating.
