Kevin Spicer, curator of 2005’s The Murder of Emmett Till – Fifty Years Later & 2010’s The Emmett Till Project returns to Highways with a new performance collective commemorating the life of trailblazing artist Gil Scott Heron, who died on May 27, 2011.

Renowned performance artists Mark Broyard,  Michael Datcher, V. Kali, Jason Luckett, Dale Guy Madison, J.M. Morris, Gia Scott Heron, Kevin Spicer, Pat Taylor (Jazzantiqua), Maura Townsend (Project21Dance), Pam Ward and others present performance/music/dance pieces exploring and/or interpreting the work of Gil Scott Heron.
